Well, in using the PVC command (the new format as it is called) you
still need to map layer 3 to the pvc
Int ATM3/0
pvc 0/500
protocol ip 1.2.3.4 broadcast
encapsulation aal5snap
You can also use inverse arp, although I highly recommend locking it in
with a mapping. I personally like the new way much better. it is very
intuitive and it is also a little more powerful/flexible in my opinion.
It is the only way to do ubr+ I believe.
