Hi all,
It is confirm that the reverse telnet is no longer part of the 1-day test.
Those things are pre-configured.

I can't confirm that reverse telnet isn't any longer part of the test... and
I guess nobody could do so, because it's part of IOS and you can be tested
on virtually any IOS feature. But if you don't want to spend the money on a
2509 or 2511, don't. Study the other topics and if you're not complete
confident at the end of your studying you could do reverse telnet without
hands on experience, you could rent a cheap remote lab for an hour (or two)
and you'll be fine. Reverse telnet isn't the most difficult part of the CCIE
lab topics and especially if you study the archives you'll know the (small)
difficulties...
Regards,
Geralt

Could someone confirm that reverse telnet is not part of the test,
so I can
save the money and spend it where needed, such as memory upgrades
etc.
Thanks much!

Check for a CS 500 version, it is a cisco terminal server that is

cheaper,
Here is one for $100:

Thanks !
Others mentioned Lantronix and the like, but Xyplex is another valid
option.
