Frame-Relay Intf-type DCE

Please someone clarify me on when to use Frame-Relay Intf-type DCE and when
to use Frame-Relay Intf-type DTE in a frame relay switch that has three
Serial interfaces.....one of this intf being a DTE.
                                        r1(s0=DCE)
                                         |
                                         |
                                         |
   r2 (s1=DTE)-------- FR-SW----------r3(s0=DTE).

My research in CCO (http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/125/fr_switching.html)
shows that you 'may' use the Frame-Relay Intf-type DCE command on all serial
intf in the Frame-Relay switch even on the DTE intf.
I followed Cisco's config for my home lab and it works fine. I just do not
understand when to use the DTE cmd.
