In the Real World(TM), I prefer to hardcode link parameters such
as trunking and channeling, because that will make the link come
up faster and help convergence in case of a link failure/recove-
ry. And you will know precisely what is going on.
For host ports, you can use the macro 'set port host', which
turns on trunking and channeling and turns on STP PortFast. In
less recent version of CatOS, you'll have to do the three manu-
ally.
