Hi all,
I face a very strange condition and I would like to share it with you.
I have been trying to setup two different OSPF proccesses on a router.
This router has two backbone areas and two virtual-links one for the first
OSPF process and the other one for the second OSPF process.
When I setup different RIDs on the backbone router (that holds both OSPF
processes) under each OSPF process (using the command "router-id") and
perform a reload it keeps the correct RIDs.
If I setup the RID using a loopback interface for each process (advertising
the loopback networks under each proccess) and perform a reload on the
backbone router it mixes the RIDs and I lose the virtual-links. The version
that I am using is 12.1.10
I have spent all day going through the archives and any known bugs on the
CCO but it keeps failing my notice.
The only interesting thing that I have found is CSCdr79314. If sb has faced
this before, please let me know. I don't think that this is a normal
condition but ....
Thank you in advace.
Yorgos
