Mike,
Everything you said is correct. VIC cards are not interchangeable with WIC
cards. VIC cards only work in NM-1V and NM-2V network modules. WIC-1T,
WIC-1B-U, etc only work in WIC slots. The WIC-2FXS is for connecting
handsets (provides dial tone, ring, etc.); it supports two telephones; the
WIC-2FXO is for connecting to a PBX and does not support a handset.
