IGRP/EIGRP you can use ip default-network x.x.x.x to advertise a default
route that will not show up as static.
In OSPF/IS-IS you would use default-information originate and it would not
show up as static.

Subject: Default Route/Static Route Question
I have a simple question. Everyone knows that static routes are not allowed
in the exam.
However there are situations where a default route is needed.
When this route shows up in the routing table it is a static route.
Is this considered a static route by exam standards and forbidden, or is
this allowed?
thanks,
Jerry
