Hmmm This area 0 summary shouldnt be on backbone routers but must on
routers in other areas.
What about ABR?. R4&R5 are ABR's....

If i remember right with 12.1 it was same behavior - in database but not
in RT.
Look at this
http://www.groupstudy.com/archives/ccielab/200102/msg01419.html

With 12.2(1) i can see this summary on R5 ABR:
O 170.10.7.0/24 is a summary, 00:38:02, Null0
.. with same config:
router ospf 1
 log-adjacency-changes
 area 0 authentication message-digest
 area 0 range 170.10.7.0 255.255.255.0
 area 2 virtual-link 170.10.5.1
 redistribute connected
 network 170.10.7.0 0.0.0.255 area 0
 network 170.10.9.0 0.0.0.255 area 2
 network 170.10.128.0 0.0.0.255 area 2

Funny. Any ideas - why area 0 summary is appeared in ABR RT?
