David,
Are you also redistributing IGRP into OSPF with subnets when you issue
the 'summary-address 172.21.19.0 255.255.255.0' command?

Mas

Subject: redist question cont'd
Hi,
Can someone give a redistribution challenged brother a hand? :)
I have an ASBR router with one interface in OSPF area 0. It has a
network
address of 172.21.19.0/28 and another interface in an IGRP domain with a
network address of 172.21.18.0/24. I need to get my IGRP router pinging
the /28 network. The best answer I got was to create a summary-address
on
the ASBR router (summarizing the /28 network to a /24). OSPF will this
this is a /24 network from IGRP and will then redistribute it into the
IGRP
domain. My only problem is; what summary-address do I use? I tried
summary-address 172.21.19.0 255.255.255.0 but it would not show up in
any
of my OSPF routers as a summary route. I also tried the major network
address of 172.21.0.0 255.255.255.0 but still had not luck with it
appearing in routing tables. Any suggestions?
Thanks again,
David
