Mohamed,

Just an FYI--I had just the opposite problem (so did somebody else in
the archives).

Once I installed route aggregation on R4 for area 1, R2 would see the
aggregated route (NA in the table) and the one specific network leading
into area 1. Only this one specific network would be redistributed into
my IPX EIGRP AS, so the only thing I could ping in area 1 was this one
specific network.

On R2 (check my syntax), 'show ipx nlsp database' would show the
aggregate LSP, but 'show ipx eigrp topology' wouldn't show any signs of
it. So I believe something was broken in the redistribution.

If I turned off route aggregation on R4 for area 1 all of the more
specific networks would show up on R2 as NLSP externals (NX) and all
would be redistributed into IPX EIGRP.

Isn't this fun?

Regards,

Mas Kato

P.S. I'm running 12.1(7)

Subject: NLSP/EIGRP problem

guys
while im doing fatkid lab 421 i got this problem
nlsp two areas ,R2 is connected to Eigrp domain like that

R1--area1---R4--area2--R2----Eigrp--R3
the requirement is to aggregate between the NLSP two areas
on R4 ,the aggregation is done and it is showing ok ,the more specific
routes are suppressed to the major network .
the problem is ,inside the Eigrp domain only the summary is propagting
,and
the more specific routes is not there (which is logical).
but the eigrp internal routers (like R3) are not able to ping the the
more
specific routes in area1(which is also logical).
now my question is ,is there any way to let the Eigrp ping the more
specific
routes based on the major networks propagated to it (something to tell
the
eigrp that the routes are summary ??)

Or should i disable the aggregation on r4 from area1 to area2 ???

anyone can help ?

thx
