on r3-dal,

--> "username r3-dal password 0 cisco" is wrong.

It should be like "username r5-dal password 0 cisco".
You can check this with "debug ppp authentication" before and after fixing
this.

Authentication is very important for building dialer maps. After
successfully authenticated, the remote host is identified with its username,
which can be mapped to one of configured dialer map statements with the same
remote host name .
