Hi All,As am counting down my days to the lab....and hitting on the
routers...getting more doubts!!!Any help is appreciated...Thanks,Ramesh.-------
---------------------------------------------------------IPX
Questions:
1.ipx nw abcd encap .. secondary-why is this not supported
under ipx eigrp? or am i using a wrong IOS ver?
--------------------------------------------------------------
2.where can i see the ipx socket numbers in the cisco cd?
--------------------------------------------------------------
3.ipx sap 4 atmsrv 44.0.0.1 1313 1 -- i configured a static sap.
i tried to ping this from another router - but not getting any response?
is this normal? To ping a static sap - is there a specific socket # that
we should use? If i dont use any loopback with ipx nw add, and want
to test with static saps pinging? is it possible?IF I REMEMBER
RIGHT...the 44 is the ipx nw of eth and 4.4.4 is the mac for the rtr with
ipx routing 44.4.4.4.Also, look at the end of this for 11.1.1.1 router
sap -....which is also not pingable.
--------------------------------------------------------------
4.12.IP/GRE Tunnel - with ipx router rip on r1 and r4 tunnel endpoints,
i was getting this on r1 for saps coming from r4:Tunnel0: GRE/IP to
decaps 135.2.192.4->135.2.64.1 (len=312 ttl=251)
02:53:13: Tunnel0: GRE decapsulated (linktype=11, len=288)
02:53:13: IPXSAP server4 from net 4444 rejected, route 44 not in table
02:53:13: IPXSAP srv4 from net 4444 rejected, route 44 not in table
02:53:13: IPXSAP atmsrv from net 4444 rejected, route 44 not in table
02:53:13: IPXSAP r4local from net 4444 rejected, route 44 not in table
..........
As soon as i enabled eigrp, i could see these saps getting installed from
r1 THROUGH tunnel0 onto r4 ? Why?
