What restrictions do you have?

I'd do

router rip
        redistribute connected metric 5 route-map RIP-REDIST
        network a.b.c.0
route-map RIP-REDIST
        match interface loopback0

It seems to work like you want.

I have 2 routers connected back-to-back via ethernet. They are both running
RIP v1. R1 has a loopback interface also. The lab I am working on is asking
me
to configure R2 so that it sees the loopback with a hop count of 5. I just
can't seem to find any information on how to do this ??. Any ideas.
