Domenic,
I was under the impression by default redistributed routes routes with Rip
default to 1 with a maximum of 15. So this command would be used if the routes
needed to traverse 5 hops away. To alter the metrics of RIP (hop count being
the only one it understands) using a offset-list would be the method. Let me
know what you think, I willing to learn ;}
