I think your right and I'd lab this myself but off the top of my head just
configure dlsw bridge-group on both routers to be the same group no. as that
configured on r1-e0 and r2-e2
Something like

dlsw bridge-group 1

bridge 1 pro iee
bridge 2 pro iee

bridge-group 1

bridge-group 2

bridge-group 2
