On one of the routers you need to define the codec as pre-ietf for g.729.
What your experiencing is an issue with a router running a PRE-IETF mode
mode of g.729 and another router running the IETF standard. Which
router....Well its the one that takes the CODEC G729R8 PRE-IETF command.
