Do a deb ip os adj and you will see what the mismatch is.
# deb ip osp adj
00:44:56: OSPF: Rcv hello from 120.10.10.1 area 0 from Serial0 10.10.1.1
00:44:56: OSPF: End of hello processing
00:44:57: OSPF: Rcv hello from 10.34.1.2 area 3 from TokenRing0 10.34.1.2
00:44:57: OSPF: Mismatched hello parameters from 10.34.1.2
00:44:57: Dead R 40 C 40, Hello R 10 C 10 Mask R 255.255.255.0 C
255.255.0.0
Check the R versus C, I had the same problem but mine was a subnet mismatch.
I was fooling around with other possiblities and didn't clean up.
It still gave me a type mismatch when the 10.34.1.1 subnet was /24 and other
was 16.
