I played with the OSPF configuration mentioned last night, and compiled
the same results; and I don't have an answer except that ip ospf network
broadcast on the point-to-multipoint frame interface (and it's
connections) does not have this issue (and hense fits the requirement of
a single area range entry to other OSPF areas -- without the host routes).
