What does the other end look like?
You have a problem when pinging 170.100.68.2 so I presume your pinging from 170
.100.68.1 your ip address on the dialer you have shown is 170.100.68.2 you coul
d have an IP addressing problem or you've missed out the encapsulation on the o
ther side.
I would need to look at both configs to spot it as it looks good on this side p
resuming your IP's are correct.
Are these IP address's correct?

Subject: dialer-profiles and ospf demand-circuit
Hi All,
I think I must be missing something really simple. I wanted to try and
setup dialer-profiles for
IP and use ospf demand-circuit. But how do I map the ip address to the
dialer. For example -
under regular legacy ddr:
dialer map ip 170.100.68.2 name sleepy broadcast 1001
Here is my dialer profile setup. When I do a debug ip packet for a ping to
170.100.68.2 I get encapsulation
failed.
interface BRI0
no ip address
encapsulation ppp
dialer pool-member 1
!
interface Dialer0
ip address 170.100.68.2 255.255.255.240
encapsulation ppp
ip ospf demand-circuit
dialer remote-name grumpyip
dialer string 1001
dialer pool 1
dialer-group 1
ppp authentication chap
ppp chap hostname sleepyip
!
router ospf 1

Thanks in advance,
Julie Ann
