I've noticed some problems with assuming "bgp sync" when using OSPF multiple
areas. I'd appreciate any comments anyone has...
Occasions when you HAVE to disable SYNC on your BGP peer if you want routes
selected and installed :
-If you're using OSPF stub areas, you only get summary routes and BGP won't
select these as valid
-if you're using OSPF virtual links, the remote area BGP speakers won't
allow selection and validation of BGP routes received
If anyone has anything to add, or suggestions where I'm WAY off track - or
at least a one-word confirmation that I'm not going mad... PLEASE
RESPOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks.
Simon
