I'm a bit confused as to how distribution-list work on link state protocols.
I understand that for DV protocols, with D-list in plaace, the router
looks at route updates and permit/deny based upon the access-list on the
D-list. But link state protocols do not advertise route updates, so does
the router inspect LSAs? Secondly, am I allow to filter ospf routes from a
neighbor in the same OSPF domain using distribution-list x in interface
command? If so, wouldn't the LS database be out of sync? Appreciate any
comments on these. Thanks.
