john,
If you need to exit traceroute from a reverse telnet section
Just press
<ctrl><shift><6>
If it is not working first attempt try twice or more. DO NOT press <x> after
<ctrl><shift><6>.
If you press <x> you will break the session and returns to terminal server.
This is applicable for a continious PING also.

Once I reverse telnet into a router, how do I change the break sequence so
if I do a traceroute I can break out? I've read the CD and have tried to hold
down the ctrl-shift 6 and choose another key, but I can't get it to work. I
know I'm not understanding the doc.
If I start a trace and I hit ctrl-shift 6 X to break, it breaks my reverse
telnet session.
Thanks!
