1st attempt down...

I thought I was doing well - there wasn't anything I didn't know how to
do....but I failed my first attempt in Sydney on Tuesday.

My one piece of advice - know everything. Everything new, everything old.
The structure of Cisco CD's vary between versions - and you'll barely have
time to be looking at it anyway....so learn all the common type codes, LSAP
numbers etc. Read the old doccos (ver 8.3-10) - they document older
technology better and would have helped me.

I did make a couple of stupid mistakes in the beginning which didn't effect
the operation of my network, so I didn't look at it again - but cost me more
points.

Know how to make things work with the minimum commands and know EXACTLY what
those commands do. If you put commands in without knowing, you'll get the
question WRONG.

Anyway. I survived - the stress did get to me, but I'm looking forward to
another opportunity. Enjoy the lab, it is fun - just quite pressured.

Simon
