   Hi all,

I had my first attempt for the ccie lab in Singapore, did not make it
   to the second day...

I learn a lot from the test and would like to share it with the ccie
   candidate out there :

About spliting the test into 2 parts, AM & PM, I find it good and
   bad...

Good as in you only need to focus on the AM part without worrying
   about the questions
of the PM part of the exam... you can start faster because you did not
   have to go over
the questions and read them in details...

Bad because when you come back after lunch, you need to go over the
   questions in details
and start reading the questions carefully and plan your time...

For those that manage to finish the AM part before lunch, the proctor
   will give you questions
for the PM part... so no worries... if you get the AM part done really
   quick, the PM part is
   given to you... just ask!!!!

No partial credit... at first I thought this is not fair...but later
after some thought, it is suppose
to be this way... we do not want partial CCIE out there..do we..To be
a CCIE, I now know that
I need to be an expert in the subject and be perfect on it during the
   exam...

The Doc CD was totally screw up ( I thought the CDrom on my notebook
was bad and noisy) ... after doing my first lookup for some stuff, the
PC just did not want to read the CD anymore, so I wasted some time
there taking out the CD, putting it back into the CD tray.. openning
the Netscape again... got it to work ...
But do not panic, you will figure out how to when you NEED to use the
Doc CD.. help me quite a bit in
   the exam...

I plan my time properly and did not have any time problem.... until I
found out a mistake like 5 minutes
before the time ran out... so miss that question... ( silly mistakes )

I made a lot of small mistakes, thought the requirement was like this
but it turn out the other way around...
If you are unsure or even if you think you are very sure it was this
way... Ask the Proctor.. to confirm what the
   questions needed..

*** Important thing... during lunch... do not go out to lunch together
with the other candidate... there was once both candidate was
disqualified because they went out for lunch together on day 1.. ( and
of coz they will discuss about the exam questions).. you were not
suppose to talk to the other candidate during the first day...
( Do they do this in other CCIE test centers too?? )

Overall, the proctor was very helpful and friendly, I ask a lot of
questions and even ask some same questions more than once...

If you are coming to take the test in Singapore and do not stay in
Singapore, feel free to ask me anything outside the NDA.
