Title: RE: DEC and DTE interface
Sure,
Are you talking about physical DCE/DTE or Frame relay DCE/DTE?
Physically, plug the DCE end of the cable into whichever router you
want to be the physical DCE and use the "clock rate xxxx" command at
the interface.
Additional to that you need to set a Frame Relay DCE. To do this you
must enter the "frame-relay switching" command in global config mode
and "frame-relay intf-type dce" at the frame relay interface.
Whether you are using 2 routers in a point to point, or 3 + routers in
a frame cloud, one interface in each physical connection must be a
frame relay dce and one must also be a physical dce. Mix and match -
it doesn't matter if they are the same interface or not.
I think the answer you are looking for is - enter "frame-relay
switching" globally and "frame-relay intf-type dce" on the interface.

Subject: DEC and DTE interface
Hi all,
I have try to config frame relay connect.
I got not problem configuring the Frame Switch with a DCE interface
and
the
Cisco router with a DTE interface.
But Can I configure the Frame Switch with DTE interface and the Cisco
Router
with DCE interface.
Cisco Router (DTE)--------- Frame Switch (DCE)
Can this be done? If yes what command must I put in the Cisco router
and
the Frame Switch?
Thanks.
