IP OSPF Demand Circurit

I'm having trouble with this running over a Async interface. (no ISDN at
home)

dialing between 2 routers , both in area 0, the dial link is in area 0.

dialer list is ip permit

after I add the Async subnet to the OSPF router, dialing starts. They
connect. ( PPP is working fine I can ping across) Hellos flow, neighbors
are made. Then, the hellos are suppressed, the dialer timer expires and the
line hangs up.

a few seconds later it dials again ( due to an interesting hello packet) and
does the whole thing over again

while its connected if you do a "sh ip ospf database" you see the LSA
packets. They dont have the DNA tag attached to them.

I thought that with "on demand" the LSAs would get a "do not age" (DNA)
and stay in the table. after the dial line went down. if the primary line
dropped, traffic should start to flow towards those DNA paths right ?

Is there something strange about doing this over async / ppp ?

6 days left......
