Hi
Has anyone worked on MPLS-TP (not the conventional IP/MPLS) ??
I am going through some documents available on internet and have the most
basic doubt :
The ring where u are running the MPLS-TP is essentially L2 ring and in some
of config I see that they have made a directed LSP ( from r1 to r2 , r2 to
r4 ) etc etc
Hence ;
1) Is it correct that underlying network in MPLS-TP is a L2 only
2) If above is true ; how is directed LDP achieved ? as we are not running
any routing protocol to reach non-directly connected neighbor
3) I see that static label allocation is done ? is this always true ? Is
there a equivalant of LDP etc in MPLS-TP world ??
Please feel free to let me know if there is some good blog or write up
available for this technology .
Thanks in advance
