With AppNav for example you can virtualise customer deployments within either a physical WAE appliance or vWAAS deployments oh not forgetting if you need a HA deployment to...

Personally I sized one of these up with the customer preferring the Netscaler option which was HA and also gave them TCP optimisation and load-balancing in the same appliances I think similar deployments can be achieved with F5

What I do know is you need to optimise both directions from the Campus to the DC and vice versa

QoS is left to the Router/switch from what I've read where you use WCCPv2 for the redirects to the appliance
