Hi,

AFAIK igmp snooping is on per default on cisco switches.
If the senders and receivers are not only on the same VLAN but on the same
switch, you should not have to configure anything.

If however senders and receivers are on different switches, you have to
make sure that multicast packets are correctly forwarded between switches.

AFAIK you have multiple possibilities to do this:
- disable igmp snooping on the switches (thus delivering multicast packets
per broadcast which stresses the network as much

the better approach is to have an igmp querier on the network
you can
- configure igmp querier on the switch(es)
- configure pim on one router in that vlan even if it does not do any
multicast routing

Cheers,
Christian
