Can you ping the ESXi ?
Divide and conquer. See which switch is not passing traffic.
Check MACs, may be the VM is playing tricks (changing its MAC) an the
ESXi vSwitch is not set upto allow that.
Open the console of the VM and see if you see traffic from there.
Stats on vmnic ?
