what is that? So you have a physical host, running ESXi 5.1 or 5.5 and you
have a VM which is RSA Authentication Manager running on that ESXi host?

How do you have the network setup? How many VMs on it? VLANs? What about
your layer two setup, switches, etc.? Is it standalone ESXi host or vcenter
managed? Standard vSwitch or Distributed?

what does the network perf show in vsphere, do you lose connectivity to the
physical network at any point from within the VM or from outside to the VM
(continuous ping perhaps would tell you that?)
