For your MTU either use 1500 or 9126, there isn't much point to using
something in between. All devices along the transit path must support that
MTU for it to be effective. So for instance if you have two edge routers
with a service provider in the middle, then unless the provider also
implements jumbo frames then implementing it on your edge routers wont do
any good. As for servers still using 1500 it really wont do anything to
them. It could possibly add a tiny amount of delay to small packets if they
have to wait for larger packets to be transmitted, but I wouldn't expect
this to be an issue on a 250Mb link.
