RE: OT: 10Gig Switch other than Cisco and Juniper

Thanks for this recommendation on the Dell 8132 - we love 10gbe copper... our cloud platform uses the great and fast as hell Dell (Brocade) 8024 part no. Y295K series since 2011 for iscsi.

not a bad 10gbe copper switch for a firm with a budget!!! Got just as many iops from my 10gbe storage as I did with arista and fiber iscsi at 10gbe...

If you're not running MSDP or fabric path on the switch or don't need a smartnet contract - not much reason to spend the $$$ premium for cisco, huh?

retail price of what you are recommending?

Powerconnect 8132 were around $5k-6k each.
