Redistribution between EIGRP and BGP

All,

I've a redistribution question between EIGRP and BGP in regards to connected
routes, we've a loopback interface that is being advertised into EIGRP via
network statement and then we are redistributing EIGRP into BGP. Do we need
to explicitly redistribute connected into BGP or network statement in EIGRP is
enough to tell BGP to advertise the subnet out. I remember reading it
somewhere that BGP will pickup what ever is in the route-table from EIGRP plus
what ever is defined in the network statement.
