I really don't understand your issue here. They aren't invalidating the
CCIE voice. If you stay renewed you will remain a CCIE.
If the is as much overlap as the article says this is your chance to become
a double CCIE without learning a new track.
When they retired the storage track they didn't give them data center CCIEs.
