This is a bit off topic, but I you are essentially going to have to have a
small amount of down time for at least half the hosts since you are using
multiple mac address for arp resolution. I did this the other day, on
6500s. I did it during maintenance, because I could not see a way around
the down time, but the down time was milli-seconds. That is enough to kill
an active connection or 2. I scripted it so that it would happen
simultaneously on 15 different vlans and then cleared the arp cache on both
cores.
