CCIE Security passed!

I successfully picked up my CCIE Security today.

I completed my CCIE in R/S May 2012 and tried Security IE (blueprint 3) in Oct 2012 but was unsuccessful. I waited for multiple vendors to come out with version 4 materials, of which Narbik seemed to have the best and most complete set.

I didn't have much time to go through them, but felt strong that I was ready and went back for version 4. WRONG!

After feeling a but more defeated, I went through Narbik's workbooks, a little of IPExpert's materials (as they are releasing only in pieces), and caught a few INE video sessions.

I went back yesterday to visit again for my 3rd Security IE attempt and won!

So, am I done? Yes! I plan to finish my College degree and enjoy my kids and family! Maybe even a nap or two on the weekend! It's been a few years since I napped instead of labbing.

I'm looking forward to going bed at normal times and not needing a Red Bull or Monster to stay up until 1am to lab prep! Ahhhhh!

A big shot out to God. Without Him in my corner to lean on, I would not have persevered through this. NEVER give up on your dreams! Being a double CCIE was mine. 2 CCIE's in just under a year, at that.
