Hello,
Really new to cisco voip so please i will appreciate if you guys can
help me out on this. I have a cisco 2801 router which is acting as my
gateway with a PSTN line terminated on one of my FXO port. Now i did
the basic configuration to allow the PSTN line to ring on one of my
Cisco IP Phone. Here is the configuration
voice-port 0/0/0
connection plar opx 1001
signal groundstart
ephone-dn 10
number 10001
ephone 3
button 1:10
dial-peer voice 30 pots
destination-pattern 9T
port 0/0/0
Now what i noticed on the router is that after booting up the FXO port
still remains amber which means there is an issue with the PVDM
installed on the router if i am right. Used this link to confirm the
status of the interface:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/2800/hardware/installation/guide/07_hw.html
Also used a new vic2-4fxo card just to be very sure it wasnt the FXO
card that was mal-functioning but still couldnt resolve this issue.
I now did some basic testing and here are the output:-

I have cleaned up the PVDM and even inserted it into another slot but
