The association of your number is legal if you are a full-time employee or
contractor living in the same place the company is located. You put
yourself at risk when associating before any efforts have been made to
complete sponsorship. Yet the visa or iqama application can be turned down,
remember that so if you jump the gun and then the employer losses interest
to complete the process or the application is refused you are left in a
compromising position. Since many CAMs do not understand the CCIE
association rules you might find the Premier partner approved to use your
number and then getting a pass if you should not appear in person. This I
have seen happen and the mess created for the CCIE is unacceptable.
JUST SAY NO!

Dear All,
I have been offered a job in Dubai United Arab Emirates and have already
signed the contract, will be joining them first week of February. The
company has an office in UAE, Pakistan and other places as well.
I just received an email from my employer that the Premier Partnership for
their office in Pakistan will be expiring soon and they have to renew it.
They are asking me to show myself as an engineer for the renewal for their
Pakistan office.
I do not have any knowledge about the partner requirements. Also I would
like to ask you all if this is legal as I do not want to loose my
credentials being a CCIE in Routing and Switching.
Looking forward for an early response.
Thank You,
Regards,
Ahmed Ejaz
