CUCM has inbuilt CDR interface (Web GUI) to provide access to reports. You
don't need 3rd party software to view them unless you don't like out of the
box templates.

All my customers run CDR 24/7 on all of the CUCM servers, I don't see any
issue there. Depending upon call volume, you may want to tweak settings to
purge old CDR records more frequently.
