Echo what Tom has suggested, we provide data centre links here in the UK and use adva optical equipment 1GE would be the obvious choice.

You might want to consider STS-12 (in uk STM-4) this will give you 622mbps and you can say have two of these links for resilience and compare the costs against x1 1GE

Shop around with carriers is my suggestion
