Did a POC a few weeks back with both Aruba and Cisco, mostly for the
non-BYOD portion. Both vendors do have great products. I highly recommend
that you do a POC of your own by clearly listing your requirements to the
vendors first as both will give you a different solution for the same
problem. Some comments :

1) ISE is not that expensive IMHO. It's a radius server on steroids
2) If you're starting from scratch and building a BYOD solution, Aruba
seems like a worthwhile competitor
3) Aruba provides a lot of cools apps for auto-enrolement/onboarding of
personal devices
4) If you need power redundancy on the controllers, only the high end (read
expensive) Aruba controller came with dual power supplies at the time
5) I may be mistaken but I think you need the ClearConnect product to
provide you with ISE equivalent functionality
6) You would also want Airwave for WCS-ish functionality (Airwave is really
cool btw)
7) Aruba APs tend to be a bit cheaper than Cisco's
8) If you only use Flexconnect type of functionality with dot1x, Cisco's
APs can survive the loss of a controller by authenticating to the radius
server themselves

Again, do your own POC according to your environment :) I found it very
hard to get any real info before getting my hands on the actual equipment.
Aruba definitely has a marketing department to match Cisco's. Both vendors
provide a great solution.
