multicasting issue - strange

Hi Guys,

i am facing very strange issue with multicasting.

 All the router's interfaces are configured in "ip pim spare mode": . Now i
have enable auto-rp feature (not BSR),

 Without configuring "ip pim auto rp listener " , i am able to ping from
source to receiver .i... ..how it is possible ??

 Am i doing something wrong ??

 Please help
