I agree, are you using the clients default windows witless connection or the intel wireless software? I would use the intel wireless software to connect as this has better control. Recently did large deployment of wireless and the problems always lie with the client software. Some recent version updates to the intel pro wireless software didn't work correctly with older clients. U may have to test a few versions and have the support teams understand this.
