What config do you have on the VM box? You have configured static etherchannel on the switch with Layer 2, but you are mentioning L3 issues.
You have the PO in trunk mode- can we see the output of sh int trunk?
The switch side looks good- you need to make sure your NIC's are configured in trunk mode with the correct teaming set. Most likely the issue resides on the NIC side.
