Clarification needed - Catalyst "Internal QoS" Label....

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me understand the concept of the "internal QoS"
label on the 3560 Catalyst switch from an architectual viewpoint.

For example, is this "internal QoS" a parameter internal to the switch, or is
a field added to the packet, or is it simply rewriting the value in the
DSCP/CoS fields.
