Another idea (and I know this is crazy, sloppy and not recommended at all
in any circumstance haha) would be to plug the switch into itself. Make it
a trunk or put the ports in the access VLAN of the SVI you want up. As
long as STP is working, one end should be the DP and the other will go
blocking to avoid a loop. Again, this is a WAY outside the box idea, and
the other solutions are much better.
