>why not spend $70.00 more and get a 24 port 3550 or something?
+1
Steve has the right idea. I had 2x 3560's I got on the cheap, but didn't
really wanna spend $2000 for another pair, so I got 2x 3550's for $220 and
upgraded them to the ipservices image and I have been able complete almost
all of the IPX labs that I have been through.
Now the backbone routers are a different story. I'm sure I'll hear a few
pitchforks coming my way by the time I finish this message, but I use a
Juniper M10 split into very many VRF's which are broken out into dot1q
trunks to simulate the 3 BB routers. I also have a spare 2610 (non XM)
plugged in just in case I have a lab with a BB router that needs EIGRP,
ODR, etc.
Hey, it gets the job done :)
