If speed is an issue for you I would try using alias commands, so instead of
typing "sh ip route" you can create an alias called "sir" by using the
command "alias exec sir show ip route". I would create then for the most
common commands like:
show ip route - sir
show ip int brief - siib
show ip ospf neighbors- sion
show ip eigrp neighors - sien
show ip bgp - sib
etc.
It might make a difference.
