Do not worry toooo much about EEM.
It is one of so many services or optimization services which may or may not
show in the lab.
Doing a couple of them for practice, getting familiar with the configuration
guide will be more than enough I guess as the case with other services .

I think the focus should be on other BIG topics that will definitely be in
EVERY lab.
